Présentation des photos au jury.

Avant d’arriver en salle de jugement et d’être présentées au jury, les photos sont mélangées dans chaque catégories, puis les images sont ventilées sur 3 tas distincts puis distribuées à chaque juges. Le jury est composé de 3 juges (juge1, juge2, et juge3).

Le jugement

Une première analyse est effectuée, le juge va diviser les photos en 3 tas pour obtenir des tendances. Un premier tas pour les photos de niveau faible (erreurs lourdes lors de la prise vue, du tirage…), un deuxième tas pour les photos de niveau satisfaisant  (notes qui vont tourner en gros entre 9 et 12 ou 13/20) puis un troisième tas pour les photos de bon, voir de très bon niveau (note >13 ou 15/20). Ceci va permettre de faire une pré-sélection. Le juge peu repositionner certaines photos.

En second temps, le juge va ventiler les images en face des étiquettes présentent sur la table correspondant à la note sur 20 qu’il souhaite attribuer.

Une fois le jugement terminé, le juge informe l’assistant(e), pour effectuer la saisie des notes à l’arrière de toutes les photos. L’assistant(e) va ensuite re-mélanger les images pour les transmettre au juge suivant. Après 3 rotations, chaque image va obtenir trois notes sur 20, la somme des notes va donner une note sur 60, qui va déterminer le classement général.

Le coup de cœur des juges.

Lorsque le jugement est terminé, les 3 juges ont la possibilité de donner un ou des coups de cœurs. Une photo auquel le juge a donné une très bonne note, ou bien l’occasion de primer une photo sur laquelle le juge a flashé, pour encourager un ou des auteurs.

Judging of the 20th Mayet International Photography Competition – 2022

Presentation of the photos to the jury.

Before arriving in the judging room and being presented to the jury, the photos are mixed in each category, then the images are broken down into 3 separate piles and then distributed to each judge. The jury is composed of 3 judges (judge1, judge2, and judge3).

The jugement

A first analysis is carried out, the judge will divide the photos into 3 piles to obtain trends. A first pile for the low level photos (serious errors when shooting, printing, etc.), a second pile for the photos of a satisfactory level (ratings that will turn roughly between 9 and 12 or 13/20) then a third pile for photos of good, even very good level (score >13 or 15/20). This will allow you to make a pre-selection. The judge can reposition certain photos.

Secondly,the judge will break down the images opposite the labels on the table corresponding to the score out of 20 that he wishes to assign.

Once the judgment is finished, the judge informs the assistant, to carry out the entry of the notes at the back of all the photos. The assistant will then re-mix the images to send them to the next judge. After 3 rotations, each image will obtain three marks out of 20, the sum of the marks will give a mark out of 60, which will determine the general classification.

When the judgment is over, the 3 judges have the possibility of giving one or more favourites. A photo to which the judge gave a very good mark, or the opportunity to award a photo on which the judge flashed, to encourage one or more authors.
